Membership of HOGG is open to anyone interested in the history of geology (you do not need to be a Fellow of the Geological Society of London).

HOGG organises an interesting programme of events, activities, field meetings, conferences, symposia and workshops.

    • Members gain free admission to all our regular online talks, and discounted fees to conferences, symposia, field meetings and most other events.
    • Members receive our magazine GeoHistories, published twice a year, plus regular HOGG Bulletins – issued every 6 weeks – which keeps members up-to-date with news of publications and events in the wider history of geology community.
